What is Horizon Europe?
Horizon Europe (HE) is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation with a budget of €93.5 billion.
It tackles climate change, helps to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth.
The programme facilitates excellent science, collaborative research, and innovation in an effort to develop and implement EU policies while tackling global challenges and fostering the tech-driven green and digital transitions. It supports the creation and better diffusion of excellent knowledge and technologies. Horizon Europe creates jobs, fully engages the available talent pool, boosts economic growth, promotes industrial competitiveness, and optimises investment impact for a stronger European Research Area and the New European Innovation Agenda.
About the Training Formats
The Proposal Writing Camp will focus on collaborative research project proposals to be submitted under the Horizon Europe Work Programmes 2026-2027 (HE), Pillar 2, but will also cover other funding instruments such as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). We will support researchers and innovators from Ukraine with solid project ideas. Participants will receive training in writing high-quality, competitive HE proposals, thereby facilitating their integration into EU research and innovation networks.
Spaces are limited, and attendees will be selected after the registration deadline. Experienced and young researchers (including PhD candidates), as well as innovation stakeholders and National Contact Points, are encouraged to take part in the training.
In addition to the 3-day Camp, individual Expert Consultations are available and can be booked here. These consultations are designed for individual applicants targeting a specific call or topic within Horizon Europe (Work Programmes 2026-2027) and will provide them with personalised assistance.
