Horizon Europe Proposal Writing Camp

for Armenia

What is Horizon Europe?

Horizon Europe (HE) is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation with a budget of €93.5 billion.

It tackles climate change, helps to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

The programme facilitates excellent science, collaborative research and innovation in efforts to develop and implement EU policies while tackling global challenges and fostering the tech-driven green and digital transitions. It supports the creation and better diffusion of excellent knowledge and technologies.

Horizon Europe creates jobs, fully engages the available talent pool, boosts economic growth, promotes industrial competitiveness and optimises investment impact for a stronger European Research Area and the New European Innovation Agenda.

About the Training Formats

The Proposal Writing Camp will focus on collaborative research project proposals to be submitted under the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026-2027 (HE), Pillar 2 (including Missions and New European Bauhaus facility), but will also cover other funding instruments such as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the European Innovation Council (EIC). We will support researchers and innovators from Armenia with solid project ideas. Participants will receive training in writing high-quality competitive HE proposals, aiming to facilitate as well their integration in EU research and innovation networks. Participation is limited and participants will be selected after the registration deadline.

Experienced researchers and young researchers (including PhD candidates) as well as innovation stakeholders and National contact points are encouraged to take part in the training.

Download agenda

Moreover, Expert Consultations for individual researchers and innovators are already offered. While the 3-day Proposal Writing Camp focuses on researchers and innovation performers aiming to apply to forthcoming Horizon Europe calls, the aim of the consultations is to provide customised support for preparing concrete proposals for submission. The Expert Consultations are addressed to individual project proposal applicants that are targeting a concrete call/topic of Horizon Europe (Work Programme 2026-2027) and will provide to them personalised assistance on issues such as: ‘decoding’ the call; matching between the call and the researcher’s expertise; consortium building; securing roles in the consortium (for project proposals under Pillar II); structuring the budget; etc
