Horizon Europe (HE) is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation with a budget of €93.5 billion.
It tackles climate change, helps to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth.
The programme facilitates excellent science, collaborative research and innovation in efforts to develop and implement EU policies while tackling global challenges and fostering the tech-driven green and digital transitions. It supports the creation and better diffusion of excellent knowledge and technologies.
The European Commission is implementing a project within the Global Support Service Facility to facilitate a stronger participation of the 5 Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in Horizon Europe, the EU’s Framework for Research and Innovation, and in the European Research Area (ERA).
Researchers and innovators from the EaP partner countries can already from now request individual expert consultations. This customised support is addressed to potential applicants targeting a concrete call/topic of Horizon Europe. It will focus on questions such as: ‘decoding’ the call; matching between the call and the researcher’s expertise; consortium building; securing roles in a consortium; structuring the budget; etc.
