CELAC-EU Joint Initiative on Research and Innovation Senior Officials Meeting
The European Commission and the Uruguayan Pro Tempore Presidency of CELAC invite you to attend the CELAC-EU Joint Initiative on Research and Innovation Senior Officials Meeting (JIRI-SOM). The event will be held on 8-9 September 2026 at Asociación Latinoamericana de Integración (ALADI), Cebollatí 1461, Montevideo, Uruguay, 13:30-18:00 UTC-3 (day 1) and 09:30-16:30 UTC-3 (day 2).
Getting your travel organised
The European Commission will provide travel and accommodation sponsorship for one delegate per country. Each invited delegate may be accompanied by one additional person. Accompanying persons are not eligible for financial support.
Delegates who wish to be considered for travel and accommodation sponsorship are kindly requested to indicate this during the registration process. Eligible delegates will receive a flight proposal by email for their approval, after which the organising team will issue the e-ticket and book and prepay accommodation on their behalf.
Registration
In order to participate in the 10th CELAC-EU JIRI-SOM, registration is needed, which takes place in two steps.
